Attendance at large industry conventions are opportunities to meet new people and introduce new services — as well as opportunities to support your industry.
Attendance at industry conventions understandably plummeted when the pandemic first started, and many were cancelled altogether. But there remains value in attending conventions and expos, which is why these types of events are surging in 2022.
At JTB Business Travel, our team is looking forward to exhibiting and networking at various events this year. We have already participated in Business Travel Show Europe, which took place in late June in London. We’ll also be at this year’s GBTA Convention, which will take place Aug. 14–17 in San Diego. We go to BTSE, GBTA and other industry conventions for a number of reasons, including the amount of value our organization gets from attendance.
See below for the details on why we’re back to attending industry events, as well as the general benefits of attending travel industry conventions.
Gaining Visibility
No matter your industry, conferences are an opportunity to get in front of prospective clients and partners. In short, conferences and exhibition halls present a chance to gain visibility for your products and services.
In an age when organizations expect a strong return on their investment in business travel, it’s more important now than ever to demonstrate how business trips create value for the company. Our team’s presence in San Diego will be an opportunity to gain visibility among those in our target market — and to create value for the entire organization.
Meeting With Clients and Industry Leaders
If you’ve ever attended a large conference and exhibition specific to your industry, you know that these events can feel like family reunions. People inside the industry have gotten to know each other through the years, and these events are a chance for facetime and catching up. This is especially true as the effects of the pandemic subside and conferences start to fill up and feel normal again.
This year, our team is excited to connect once more with our clients from around the country, as well as with partners and leaders in the business travel industry. Yes, conferences and exhibitions are opportunities to connect, but they are also opportunities to learn from others and get insights into the latest and greatest best practices in the industry.
Introducing New Services
Like many organizations, JTB Business Travel often uses large industry events as chances to introduce new services. We’re always innovating and updating what we do for our clients, and it’s only natural to introduce those innovations and updates at gatherings like BTSE and GBTA.
During the GBTA Convention, find us in the Expo Hall at Booth 1418. We’d love a chance to meet you and get to know your business travel needs, and we would also appreciate the chance to introduce you to our newest services.
Making a Difference in Business Travel’s Return
This is the most important reason we attended BTSE and why we’ll be at this year’s GBTA Convention: We strongly believe that there’s value in these types of events, and we want to make a difference in business travel’s return to pre-pandemic levels.
Industry conventions in 2022 should be a celebration of business travel’s return and the value it provides to organizations — and we wouldn’t miss them for the world.
