What’s more fun that traveling around the world? Reading the imaginative names everyone submitted to the JTBUSA Business Travel “Name our Newsletter” contest sponsored by Delta Air Lines. We would like to say a big Thank You to everyone who participated in our contest and helped make it a success!
As you may remember, in April we decided to run a contest to name our JTB USA Business Travel Newsletter. We were looking for a short yet creative name to demonstrate JTB’s continued dedication to providing unbiased information to Travelers, Travel Managers and Executives. We received so many great submissions, so it took us some time to review and choose a winner. We received over 200 names from about 80 different businesses, and we want to thank everyone for all your thoughtful and creative suggestions!
Drum roll, please! We are happy to announce the results of our contest…
First and foremost, we would like to congratulate Allen J. Cius, the winner of JTB’s “Name our Newsletter” contest! His thoughtful submission received the most votes from our internal committee and has been crowned the winner!
It’s official! Our new newsletter name is Waypoint.
Why “Waypoint”? Waypoint was first used in the 1880’s to signify “an Intermediate point on a route or a line of travel”(1). Still relevant today, waypoint has evolved to mean a fixed location with a specified coordinate or GPS location. The same way you can rely on a GPS location to tell you where you’re going you can rely on JTB to provide you the unbiased information you need for your Business Travel.
