Kim Lagus is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the travel industry. Born in Sweden, Kim’s early years were enriched by a decade-long immersion in Japanese culture, where he cultivated fluency in the Japanese language and a deep understanding of its customs.

His journey in travel began in 1992 in operations, where his multi-lingual skills came well to use. The early years in his career are where he found his passion to make a difference for customers, to add value, and to find solutions to whatever the challenge might be. He was appointed to Manager for JTB Sweden in 1998 and has since then fostered growth and innovation within the company.

In 2012, Kim’s responsibility was expanded also to include JTB Denmark, where he further honed his leadership skills and expanded his expertise across different markets. To further expand business and harmonize processes, he was appointed as the Regional Manager of Nordics in 2016, where he was entrusted with overseeing outbound activities in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

In 2019, Kim’s exemplary track record and visionary leadership earned him the position of Vice President and Head of JTB Business Travel in Europe, where he continues to spearhead strategic initiatives and expansion efforts across the continent.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Kim finds solace and rejuvenation in nature. He is an avid outdoors enthusiast, often spending his leisure time fishing, boating, diving, and camping in the countryside. This passion for the outdoors reflects his adventurous spirit and commitment to a balanced lifestyle.
